Story: Empty
Year: 976 FY
Characters: Ineku
Warnings: Death of a child
Notes: This takes place in the Too Late AU.
Ineku couldn't look at his son's body. It was too small, too sunken, too devoid of anything that resembled his boy. It was just a shape.
Isshiri had been more than that. He'd been a smile, a tangle of limbs falling off a perch he'd known was too precarious for him, a rodent hidden in his older sister's bed.
And Kesshare...she felt it, he knew she did, but she didn't understand it. She didn't understand why the shape ate away at him.
He went to his daughters, instead, and tried to chase away the image of his hollow son.
